It is a rare ore that can be found in Nether.
Can be refined into a netherite scrap by smelting in a furnace or blast furnace.
A diamond pickaxe or better is required to mine it.

Basalt

Can be found in Soul sand valleys and in Basalt deltas.
Can be crafted into polished basalt

Blackstone

Naturally generates in basalt deltas and bastion remnants.
Can be used to craft stone tools, furnaces, slabs, stairs, and walls.

Block of Netherite

Can be crafted with 9 netherite ingots.
Can be used as a beacon base.
Cannot burn in lava or fire.

Chain

Generates in Bastion Remnants.
Crafted with iron ingots and iron nuggets.

Crimson and Warped Fungus

Generate in crimson and warped forests.

Crimson and Warped Nylium

Can be spread to netherrack by using bonemeal on a netherrack block next to a nylium block.

Crimson and Warped Planks

Does not burn.
Crafted from the respective stem.

Crimson and Warped Roots

Foliage that generates in both crimson and warped forest biomes, as well as soul sand valleys.

Crimson and Warped Stems

Blocks that comprise the trunks of huge fungi.
Does not burn.

Crying Obsidian

Used to craft respawn anchors.
Generates in Ruined Portals.
Obtainable through bartering.
Can be found in ruined portals and bastion remnant chests.

Variant of blackstone that can drop gold nuggets.

Hyphae

A variant of stems with the bark on all 6 sides.

Lodestone

Crafted with 1 netherite ingot and 8 chiseled stone bricks.
Using a compass on it turns the compass into a lodestone compass which points to the connected lodestone.

Nether Gold Ore

A variant of gold ore found in the Nether.
Drops 2–6 gold nuggets when mined.
Can be mined with any pickaxe.

Nether Sprouts

Blue foliage that generates in warped forests.
Can be used in composters.

Can be charged with a dispenser.
Explodes when placed in Overworld

Shroomlight

Emits a light level of 15, similar to glowstone.
Can be mined with any tool, but axes and hoes are the most effective.
Generate as a part of huge fungi.

Soul Campfire

Crafted with soul sand or soul soil instead of coal.
Piglins are repelled by soul campfires.

Soul Fire

Soul Lantern

Gives off a light level of 10.
Crafted similarly to a normal lantern, using a soul torch instead of a normal torch.

Soul Torch

Soul Soil

Generates in the soul sand valley, alongside conventional soul sand.
Fire lit on soul soil is called soul fire.
Can be used to summon the wither.

Target

Redstone component that can be activated by shooting projectiles into it.

Platform Version Status

Java Edition (PC/Mac) Platform

The PC/Mac platform (later renamed to the Java Edition in 1.12.2) was the first released by Mojang for the Personal Computer (PC) and Mac. It has the most complete list of features which includes game commands and cheats that are not available on other platforms. Live in the d today. Xbox 360 vs Xbox One Platform

The Xbox One platform was later released in 2014. The improved hardware of the Xbox One allowed worlds to be much larger in size.

The Xbox 360 and Xbox One console editions have been designed to use the standard Xbox controllers rather than keyboard and mouse.

PS3 vs PS4 Platform

In 2013, Minecraft was released on the PS3 and was the second console version of the game. Due to the hardware limitations of the PS3, worlds were restricted in size. The PS4 platform was later released in 2014. The improved hardware of the PS4 allowed worlds to be much larger in size.

The PS3 and PS4 console editions have been designed to use the standard PS controllers.

Pocket Edition

Minecraft Pocket Edition (PE) version was the first version to be released for mobile devices. It was designed to take advantage of the touch interface on mobile devices. Initially, features were very limited. As new updates are released, additional items, blocks and mobs have been added.

Windows 10 Platform

The Windows 10 edition of Minecraft was released in 2015 and is now compatible with Pocket Edition and Xbox One allowing users to cross platform play.

Originally, Minecraft for Windows 10 had fewer features than the Java Edition as it had to remain compatible with the Windows 10 mobile devices. It is now basically caught up to the Java Edition version.

Wii U Edition

In 2015, Minecraft was released on the Wii U. This version is designed to use the Wii U Gamepad and the Pro Controllers, however, with the Patch 4 release you could now play with the Wii Classic Controllers.

The available blocks, items and mobs have basically caught up now to the Java Edition version.

Nintendo Switch Edition

On May 11, 2017, Minecraft was released on the Nintendo Switch. This version is designed to use the new Nintendo Switch Controllers.

The blocks, items and mobs available in this version of Minecraft are comparable to those in the other console editions such as PS, Xbox and Wii U.

Education Edition

In 2016, an educational version of Minecraft was released called Minecraft Education Edition. It is available to teachers and students for classroom use.
